Paramount recently had the pleasure of tuning Quentin’s Range Rover for improved fuel economy. Quentin joined the team at Paramount for the day along with his film crew. The tuning undertaken will be featured for a Granada Television special on fuel economy in the coming weeks.
Quentin was impressed with the tuning, which delivered an additional 40bhp of power, and gave an immediate 4mpg improvement. Quentin has already had his Jaguar tuned and would appear to be a big fan of Paramount’s economy tuning services
"I simply had to write again to let you know that the average mpg, showing on my Volvo XC90's computer readout has now levelled out at 40mpg. My mpg has increased 21% from 33 mpg."
"Just had the economy box fitted to my Jaguar X Type 2.0 Diesel SE. It does everything you said it would; bhp up 15.65%, giving exceptional low down torque through the gears, plus an economy of at least 4 mpg."
After the work Peter of SRS said "we have been very pleased with the increase in power, the vehicles feel smoother and tackle gradients with greater ease, reducing gear changes and improving driveability. The biggest benefit has come from the improvement in fuel economy though, prior to Paramount tuning our Volvo F12 returned around 4.2 mpg, but now we are seeing a much improved 6.7mpg"
Earlier this year Paramount had the pleasure of tuning Stewart’s AMV8, with the fitment of Paramount’s sports exhaust, racing cats and Paramount Aston Martin ECU remap Stewart’s Aston was taken to 448.2 bhp, an increase of 60bhp.
After 3 solid days of driving over in France, all I can say is Fantastic ! mid range power is just fantastic, 3rd gear is just awesome now. From 3500-6500rpm there is real punch, much more than standard and the exhaust noise is absolutely addictive.
Richard the customer said "I just can't believe what you have done, this car was never slow, but now the pick up is just unbelievable, the wheels spin at 90mph when you put your foot down, its just fantastic !"
Richard has since brought us his Cayanne for a make over and remap.
In August Paramount converted this stunning limited edition XKR Silver Stone for Alan. The extensive work undertaken included, full performance exhaust, the exclusive paramount body styling kit, grills, suspension and full rolling road tuning, (de-restricting and remapping). The results were fantastic, with the car delivering 485bhp and 195mph on the rolling road.
